GeoVisual Media, Inc. offers a range of presentation media for use in professional and technical settings. As seen by the images and animations displayed on our website, we offer presentations tools and finished media using state of the art technology.
We specialize in photorealistic 3D computer modeling of structures, surface, ground water and microscopic settings with exacting positioning including latitude and longitude, elevation and time variables. We are able to associate and depict any media such as photographs, video, documents, depositions or any other electronic file in its correct location on our model.
Once completed our models can be presented in full interactive 3D – enabling the viewer to be able to move about within the scene from an infinite number of points of view. We can incorporate engineering data from most engineering software programs and can incorporate surface features from BING, Google Earth, ArcView, and a wide range of other software with full GIS capabilities.
Our animations and interactive 3D applications have been used in both State and Federal US Courts. Starting with expert reports, we are able to convert the data into accurate and easy-to-understand visuals for court room purposes. In addition to be able to give virtual tours of the site in question, our interactive applications can be made to overlay site-specific engineering data and other demonstrative illustrations.
What we offer:
3D Models generated from aerial images: In addition to converting 2D plans into 3D models, we also use the latest technology to convert existing structures into 3D models for subsequent animation or engineering / building analysis. For example, we recently UAV aerial videography to generate accurate 3D models of the large land development ongoing in West Jakarta, Indonesia. As shown in the image below, using the latest Autodesk product (123D Catch) – we were able to produce highly accurate 3D models which could be imported into other analysis programs.
Sinar Mas Building – Green Building District, Jakarta, Indonesia.
3D Models generated from LIDAR data: For higher resolution modeling and engineering projects, LIDAR data can now be directly imported into Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Autodesk’s Revits and lighting analysis programs such as Autodesk’s 3DS Design. Below are images generated via importing point cloud data directly into 3DS Design (data provided by Precision 3D Scanning) In addition, data like this can be imported into TrueView software – which allows interactive viewing and a great array of tools.

Building Information Modeling (BIM): This exciting technology is revolutionizing the field of green architecture. In addition to standard modeling, one can include real information on the models. Once done, real simulations can be done using simulation plugins for light, heat, air flow and a host of other energy calculations. Indeed, software such as this is becoming a major tool used in acquiring LEEDS and Energy Star type building ratings internationally.
Environmental Animations: Ground water, air and other environmental disasters are of great public concern. Indeed, being able to simulate or recreate these events helps engineers prevent them in the future. Indeed, these simulations are now being used more frequently in environmental contamination cases, where complex data is converted into easy-to-understand animations and simulations.
Ground water contamination and vapor intrusion animation
Forensic Animations: Simulation software also makes it possible to accurately recreate accidents (air, land, sea) – and a host of other physical interactions requiring conversion of real data into visual formats and animation. Indeed, programs such as Discovery Channel, History Channel and National Geographic use this type of recreation routinely now. Likewise, these type of presentations are used in US State and Federal Courts as demonstrative evidence, helping expert witnesses explain complex scientific data.
About Us
We specialize in converting technical documents, engineering diagrams, architectural sketches and scientific content into easy-to-understand visual presentations. To date, work has appeared on CNN Headlines News, Nat Geo Live, webinars, international trade shows, PBS and many other venues…
Environ. Visualizations
As environmental science has evolved, so has the need to convert complex hydrogeological, lithological into a format which can be grasp by decision makers and for general educational purposes. Animation allows us to go where the camera cannot – i.e., under the ground or ocean to help simulate or explain

Forensic Animations
Animation technology has evolved such that simulations that can be done to help recreate what actually happened. More frequently, these animations are being used to help juries decide verdicts in complex scientifically driven cases. To date, our work has been in used in many US State and Federal Environmental

Real Physics Simulations
Computer software now makes it very easy to simulate real events. Computational fluid dynamics is being used to replace real wind tunnels, HVAC simulations for large buildings, accident reconstruction and a host of other uses.
